Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

Wallviela ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information Wallviela collects, why we use it, how account and AI-generation information is processed, our retention practices, how cookies and browser storage are used, and the choices available to you when you use wallviela.com and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Wallviela, we may process:

  • Account information: your Google account identifier, display name, email address, and profile image or avatar when Google supplies one.
  • AI generation information: the prompt you submit, selected aspect ratio, generation status, timestamps, generated image while it remains available, and relevant status or error information.
  • Service usage information: your daily AI generation count, qualifying usage refunds, and information needed to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the generation feature.
  • Technical information: standard request information that web servers and security systems may process, such as IP address, browser or user-agent information, requested URLs, request timestamps, and basic error or security logs.
  • Browser-local information: favorite wallpaper identifiers and a user-scoped active AI generation identifier stored in your browser as described below.

2. Google Sign-In and Account Information

Wallviela uses Google Sign-In to authenticate users and establish a Wallviela account session. The Google authorization request is limited to the openid, email, and profilescopes.

These scopes allow Wallviela to receive basic identity information such as your Google account identifier, display name, email address, and profile image where available. Wallviela does not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, Google Calendar, contacts, or other Google account content.

We use this information to identify and authenticate you, display your signed-in account, associate user-specific services with the correct account, and maintain your Wallviela session. Google OAuth access credentials are not stored in frontend localStorage.

3. AI Wallpaper Generation

Authenticated users can submit a text prompt and select a landscape, portrait, or square aspect ratio to request a generated wallpaper. Wallviela processes the prompt, selected setting, account association, and other information necessary to fulfill and track the request.

Information necessary to fulfill the request, including the prompt and selected generation setting, may be sent to OpenAI, which provides the AI and image-generation service used by Wallviela. The generated output is returned to Wallviela and processed so it can be delivered through authenticated preview and download functionality.

Generation-related information may include the text prompt, aspect ratio, status, timestamps, relevant technical or error information, generated image during its temporary availability period, and usage- or refund-related information.

4. AI Image and Generation Information Retention

Generated AI image files are temporary and are retained for approximately 24 hours after successful generation. Users should download generated images before they expire. After expiry, the generated image file is deleted and should no longer be expected to remain available for preview or download.

After the generated image file expires, Wallviela may retain certain generation-related information for service operation, feature usage analysis, reliability monitoring, security and abuse prevention where applicable, troubleshooting, and product improvement. This information may include an account reference, prompt, aspect ratio, status, timestamps, relevant technical or error information, and usage- or refund-related information.

The approximately 24-hour period applies specifically to the generated image file. We do not promise that all generation-related information, including prompts, is deleted after 24 hours, and no fixed retention period is currently stated for that information.

5. Daily AI Generation Usage

Wallviela tracks accepted AI generation requests for each authenticated user to enforce the current free allowance of two AI generations per day. This usage information is also used to prevent misuse, operate the generation feature, and restore qualifying attempts when a system or service-provider failure is eligible for a refund.

Daily AI usage information is used for service operation and limit enforcement, not for advertising profiling.

6. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

  • authenticate users and maintain account sessions
  • provide wallpaper browsing, downloads, and AI generation
  • process prompts and deliver generated results
  • enforce daily AI generation limits and qualifying refunds
  • restore active generation progress for the correct signed-in user
  • operate browser-local Favorites and preferences
  • diagnose failures and maintain service reliability
  • secure Wallviela and prevent fraud, misuse, or abuse
  • understand aggregate service and feature usage
  • improve Wallviela and comply with legal obligations

Wallviela does not currently use a third-party behavioral advertising or analytics SDK. Internal service and feature-usage analysis is not advertising profiling.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

Essential cookies. Wallviela uses session cookies to maintain authenticated sessions and CSRF-related cookies to protect authenticated actions. These cookies are required for core account, security, and service functionality; they are not advertising cookies.

Favorites. Favorite wallpaper identifiers are stored in your browser's localStorage. Favorites are local to that browser or device and are not necessarily synchronized with your Wallviela account.

Active generation. When you use AI generation, Wallviela stores a user-scoped active generation identifier in localStorage so generation progress can be restored for the correct signed-in user while you navigate the site. Wallviela does not store Google OAuth access credentials or session credentials in localStorage.

Browser-local information remains on your device until it is cleared by you or your browser, or removed, replaced, or updated through the application's normal behavior.

8. Service Providers

Wallviela relies on service providers needed to operate the service:

  • Google provides authentication through Google Sign-In.
  • OpenAI provides AI and image-generation functionality used to fulfill generation requests.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers support website delivery, storage, networking, security, and service availability.

These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services and may operate under their own privacy terms.

9. Data Sharing

Wallviela may share information when reasonably necessary:

  • with service providers that help operate Wallviela
  • to comply with applicable law or a valid legal request
  • to investigate or prevent fraud, security incidents, misuse, or abuse
  • to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of users and the service

Wallviela does not sell users' personal information.

10. Data Retention

  • Generated AI image files are retained for approximately 24 hours after successful generation.
  • Generation-related information may be retained as needed for service operation, analytics, reliability, security, troubleshooting, and product improvement.
  • Account information is retained as needed to provide account and session functionality and meet applicable operational or legal needs.
  • Technical logs may be retained for a reasonable period needed for security, reliability, troubleshooting, and legal obligations.
  • Browser-local information remains on your device until cleared by you or your browser, or changed through normal application behavior.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. Current safeguards include authenticated sessions, authorization controls for user-specific AI resources, CSRF protection for authenticated changes, private delivery of generated AI images, and secure cookies and HTTPS in production.

No internet-based service or storage method can guarantee absolute security, and we cannot promise that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or lost without authorization.

12. Your Choices and Rights

You may:

  • sign out of your Wallviela account session
  • clear Favorites and other local browser data through your browser
  • choose not to submit prompts to the AI generation feature
  • download generated images before their temporary availability ends
  • contact Wallviela with privacy or data questions

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or other actions concerning your personal information. Wallviela does not currently promise an automated account-deletion or data-export feature; contact us to make an applicable request.

13. Children's Privacy

Wallviela is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under the minimum age required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Wallviela, please contact us so that we can review the matter.

14. International Processing

Wallviela, Google, OpenAI, and other service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Privacy and data-protection laws may differ between jurisdictions. Where required, we process personal information in accordance with applicable law.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Wallviela or applicable requirements change. When we make changes, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this page.
